Description:

Unlike standard 45g cartridges these 45g cartridges have a 3/8th (24UNF) thread. Standard 45g cartridges have a 5/8inch (18UNF-2A) thread which is a very wide thread and not compatible with bicycle tyre inflators etc. However this 3/8ths thread 45g cartridge can be used with many popular CO2 devices such as tyre inflators and plumbing drain unblockers. However the volume of CO2 in this cartridge is obviously far greater - so do not used it if you only need 12g or 16g of CO2, for example to blow up bicycle tyres. It can also be used with some aquarium CO2 systems.

Note: this cartridge will NOT fit the Drinks Works machine - please see the other 45g cartridge we sell which has a 5/8th (wider) thread.

CO2 or Carbon Dioxide is an odorless, colorless, non inflammable gas with a light sour taste, it does not contain any minerals, salts or other solid ingredients.

Warning Freezing High Pressure Gas
Our gas cartridges and cylinders are filled with liquified gas under high pressure.
Puncturing the cartridge (or opening the cylidner valve) can cause freezing gas to escape so you may want to protect your hands and face.
Ensure cartridge or cylinder is empty or isolated before removing from your device.
Cartridges get freezing cold when punctured.
If you are burnt by freezing gas you must immediately seek medical advice. A high pressure gas burn can cause deep tissue damage which is not immediately obvious at the time of the injury.

Do not use with safety critical devices:
Our CO2 cartridges are ideal for use with consumer devices such as tyre inflators etc. If you have a life jacket or other safety critical device you should buy branded cartridges specifically manufactured for your device. Failure to do so could cause the device to fail when it is needed. Your insurance / guarantee will probably be invalidated.
